With over 30 years of dedication to microalgae bioengineering, he has broken technological monopolies, built ZIONBIO’s core barriers, and strived to bring safe, premium microalgae health products to every household.

Professor Li Yuanguang is a top authoritative expert in the field of microalgae bioengineering in China.

He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University. Currently, he serves as Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at East China University of Science and Technology, and Director of the Marine Biochemical Engineering Laboratory at the State Key Laboratory of Bioreactor Engineering.

As the Founder and Chief Scientist of ZIONBIO, he is the core founder who transformed laboratory research into industrialized production.

For over three decades, he has been committed to R&D and industrialization of microalgae technologies, leading numerous national key research projects and overcoming critical bottlenecks in large-scale microalgae cultivation. Adhering to the philosophy of “Research for the People, Craftsmanship for Quality”, he has led ZIONBIO to become a benchmark enterprise in China’s microalgae health industry.

• Chief Scientist of the National 973 Program for Microalgae Energy during the 12th Five-Year Plan Period. Led more than 10 national key research projects including the National 863 Program and National Development and Reform Commission industrialization projects.
